Terms of Service — preparation checklist
- Insert the correct registered business/legal operator and verified contact details.
- Define service capabilities, availability, support, limits, restrictions and customer responsibilities.
- Specify subscription renewal, invoices, cancellation, payment failure, refunds and taxes.
- Define permitted store connections, merchant data ownership, intellectual property and AI limitations.
- Include liability, dispute resolution, termination and changes clauses appropriate to applicable law.
Privacy Policy — preparation checklist
- Describe exactly what merchant, shopper, product and order information the service processes.
- Describe the purposes and legal bases of processing where required.
- Identify relevant third-party providers, retention periods, deletion processes and security measures.
- Explain rights requests, tracking/cookies, marketing preferences, cross-border transfers and contact procedures.
- Require merchant permissions and appropriate Shopify protected-customer-data handling.
Marketing and payment compliance
Keep recipient consent/permission records and opt-outs. Comply with applicable email and SMS marketing law. Do not guarantee a revenue outcome or present attributed conversions as incremental gains without supporting evidence. Stripe billing, customer identities, and store automation must be security tested before live launch.
